Guardian

Here's a guy I tried to do in the Kirby style. Now, while I may have grasped some of the visual trappings of Kirby I will be the first to admit that I shot wide of the mark. Kirby had balls. Huge balls. And this drawing is merely a platonic shadow of the ideal. But it's still pretty cool.

hey man I dig this pic, I'm a huge Kirby fan and think this would fit right in with some 4th world characters.

I agree Joel.

I think it's ironic that Jeff used the term "balls" twice in this post to describe Kirby and this character is essentially standing on two balls.

This is a perfect example of Jeff's brilliance as an artist and a human being. Even in his deference, he is mighty!

Looks great Jeff. Don't let the balls thing get to you.

I forgot to ask. Is this a real Kirby character or a Jeff Johnson character?

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm still trying to be more timely on this damn blog.

Kyle, the design is mine, but I was look at Kirby when I was drawing it so I can't really take any credit.

Humble as ever, I see. One of things I've always despised about you!
